Once the script was approved I was handed this project to start developing a visual aesthetic. The tricky part was not going to scary since the topic is firearms insurance. The client wanted to stay away from the fear-mongering their competitors express. I sat down to hammer out ideas first with some quick styleboards hoping to give three different option to make sure the client was happy.
Once the client liked what they saw, the ball got rolling. These are some of the final storyboards.

With the challenge of bringing out the exclusivity and strength of FEI, a more aggressive approach worked well to set this business apart from their competition.
Here are the original styleframes for the look and feel. The project shaped up nicely as it was coupled with strong visuals and a great outsourced voice over talent from VoiceBunny to give it that oomph.
The icing on the cake was the sound design, done by the ever talented audio genius Juan Pablo.

Directing motion
A great experience tackling this motion graphics piece with 3D, 2D, and live-action. I started by storyboarding after being given a brief on points the client wanted to capitalize on. Working with a strict budget I needed to hit every point fast and effectively. I wrapped up the shoot in about an hour and a half and the animation in about 50 hours. Great experience, and great people to work with.
